Having the disease of alcoholism is not uncommon. Approximately 120 million people suffer from alcoholism. The good news is that roughly 1/3 of these alcoholics do recover. Recovery is possible if a person has a desire to change, is willing to take suggestions, and if they follow the suggestions that are made. As the statists above points out, the majority doesn’t recover. This is not do to the process of recovery not being successful, but is caused by the choices that the other 2/3’s have made. In order to be successful in recovery one must first have the right support around them. Second they must be willing to implement simply suggestions into their lives. If you are ready to do this, you are ready for recovery.
